Be Modern, one of the UK’s largest fireplace manufacturers, is encouraging consumers to buy British quality products on home soil.
The South Shields based fireplace manufacturer has been flying the British flag proudly for over 40 years, employing 550 local staff at its 100,000sq ft warehouse, and producing 90 per cent of its finest fireplaces within the UK.
Richard Appleby, managing director at Be Modern, commented: “With the current economic climate, the more we can encourage consumers to buy British made products, the more we will help the UK economy get back on its feet.”
Covering over a million miles of Britain’s roads every year, Be Modern supports a network of 850 independent retailers, as well as a whole host of merchants and DIY outlets.
Richard, continued: “As a British manufacturer we are always looking at ways of expanding our business. We have state-of-the-art CNC machines at our marble factory and use FSC approved product at our timber factory and whilst we have made significant advances, we need to continue to invest in new manufacturing processes to ensure we offer all our customer a variety of fireplace designs to meet ongoing trends.”
